Within the next 2 weeks, the biggest changes to family law, applying for a divorce, (getting unmarried), will become available for spouses to use.  From 6th April 2022 either party to a marriage can apply for a true ‘no fault’ divorce.

No longer will one party have to prove there has been a period of separation (usually 2 years) or one has behaved unreasonably or committed adultery.  It will even be possible for parties to make a joint application.
